Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2018| Fall/Winter

Coffee-Lovers-Blog-Hop-10

One of my favorite times of year as a card maker is being able to participate in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  It’s the same routine each time where I go through my stamp inventory and pull all my coffee stamps I have yet to use.  The chosen one this time around was Penny Black’s Saying a Latte.  I so love this girl and knew right away what I wanted to do.

Paper piecing was on the brain and I immediately decided that her shirt should be paper pieced with some holiday patterned paper.  Once I got started, I thought, hmm well tank tops really don’t go with winter, but maybe she is in her house by the fireplace?? Maybe??  We are going with that!

I colored her with Copic markers after paper piecing her tank top, then used a Lawn Fawn stamp set for the sentiment.  The patterned paper I used for the circle and the background paper all come from the same pack.  Added some gold enamel dots and called her done!

Patterned Paper Series

Patterned Paper Series | Day 1 of 5 | Paper Piecing with Lawn Fawn’s Plus One

dscn2203

Welcome!  So I thought I would try paper piecing to kick off my patterned paper series for this month.  I used mostly Lawn Fawn products, but did bring in patterned paper from a pack from Hobby Lobby and a paper set from Love From Lizi.  There is a lot of inspiration out there for paper piecing, so I was excited to get started after looking into others projects.

After looking through my stamp collection, I decided to go with Lawn Fawn Plus One stamp set and dies to create these three little baby cards.  The cards measure 4 1/4″ x 4″ when scored and folded.  Perfect size to attach to a gift!

If you would like to see the process video of these three cards, click here.  All supplies will be listed in the description box of my YouTube Channel.
